Is this True relationship!!!

A new relationship seems to be blossoming between TRS head KCR and lady Amitabh Vijayashanti. But this is said to be raising few eyebrows across the political circles for good reasons. Apparently, there were many instances when KCR had performed poojas and other events with his wife by his side especially in Telanagana Bhavan.

But now, this place seems to have been taken by Vijayashanti as it is being noted that such events are having her presence. This is said to be giving negative signal to voters and watching them sitting side by side, the Telangana people are said to be disappointed.

They are not happy about KCR and are saying that this is giving a wrong projection society wise and even politically it is not looking impressive. KCR is known for his stubborn attitude but if his own people feel otherwise, then it is time he should consider changing the seating positions. The TV Channels have been showing both of them performing poojas together. In fact, no brother and sister will perform pooja sitting side by side and following the mantras of pujari. Only wife and husband does that, say scholars.

Naidu backstabs Kootami partners!

Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu, at last, managed to keep the flock in Mahakootami together. Using all his wily tactics, he forced the alliance partners to agree for the number of seats he had allocated for the TRS, CPI and CPI-M. The partners got panicky, when the TD candidates filed their nominations in most of the constituencies allotted to the alliance partners with official B-forms. As a result, they came down to their knees and agreed for the seats allotted to them. And Naidu told them that no B forms were given to anyone, and even if they were given to some, they would be withdrawn.

So, the TDP would be contesting in 221 assembly and 29 Lok Sabha seats; TRS in 45-09 seats, CPI and CPI-M in 14-09 seats each. Sakshi daily, supporting the Congress party, was hoping that the Mahakootami would crumble and split; but it did not happen. So, it attacked Chandrababu Naidu directly, saying he had backstabbed even his friends by asking his party leaders to file nominations in the alliance seats, thereby blackmailing them. It said Naidu’s “jadoo” (Magic) made the alliance partners succumb.

On the other hand, Andhra Jyothy and Eenadu gave positive stories, saying that the Mahakootami finally materialised with alliance coming to an understanding on seat sharing. Eenadu also gave how rebels are troubling all political parties by filing their nominations as independents. Maximum number of rebels in TDP and PRP filed their papers on the last day of nominations in the first phase. While Andhra Jyothy gave a lot of prominence to Chiranjeevi’s road show in East Godavari in which he attacked the Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Sakshi carried the road show of YSR at Maheshwaram, in which he came down heavily on Mahakootami, where parties are fighting for selling of tickets.

The allotment of symbols to PRP and Lok Satta by the EC is the only other interesting news in the dailies on Tuesday.

Balakrishna will not contest ???

Actor and Telugu Desam star campaigner Balakrishna has decided not to contest the polls this time.

Party sources said Balakrishna had informed Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu about his decision a few days ago.

Earlier, considering Balakrishna’s attachment with the Rayalaseema region, Mr Naidu had planned to field him as a candidate either from Hindupur or Kurnool Lok Sabha segments. Sources said there was overwhelming support for Balakrishna from both these places.

The Hindupur Telugu Desam sitting MLA, Mr P. Ranganaayakulu, even offered his seat and announced he will stay away from polls. But ultimately Balakrishna decided to stay away from contesting this polls.

Now, the TD chief, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, has tentatively decided to allot the Kurnool LS seat either to Mr B.T. Naidu who belongs to the backward Boya Valmiki caste or Mr Nimmala Kishtappa, ex-minister.

Meanwhile, Md. Gani will replace Mr Ranganayakulu in Hindupur Assembly segment. The chances of Mr Ranganayakulu getting a ticket appears remote with the decision to field Md Gani.

Krishnam Raju denied PRP ticket?

Hyderabad, March 30 (IANS) Film producer and Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) general secretary Allu Aravind Monday filed his nomination for Ankapalli Lok Sabha constituency in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Keeping everybody guessing till the last minute, Allu Aravind reached Visakhapatnam from Hyderabad to file his papers on the last day of filing of nominations.

His name was included in the fourth list of candidates released Monday. There was suspense as to which constituency he will contest from. Some party leaders had hinted that he might contest from Visakhapatnam.

Allu Aravind is brother-in-law of actor-turned-politician and Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi. He is considered to be the brain behind Chiranjeevi’s plunge into politics.

Allu Aravind is the only close relative of Chiranjeevi who will be contesting the next month’s elections. The actor’s brothers, actors Pavan Kalyan and Naga Babu are not contesting, while Chiranjeevi will be contesting from Tirupati assembly constituency.

Meanwhile, the party has denied a ticket to veteran actor and former union minister Krishnam Raju, who was expected to be fielded from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency.

Raju had quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to join Chiranjeevi’s party last month and party sources had hinted that he might get the ticket from Visakhapatnam or Narsapuram.

PRP has fielded Srinivas Yadav from Visakhapatnam. The other Lok Sabha candidates in the fourth list are Kasani Gyaneswar (Chevella) and Balraj Goud (Mahabubnagar). Both Gyaneswar and Goud are leaders of Mana Party, which has entered into seat sharing agreement with PRP.

KCR c/o Gandaragolam

Masking of Telangana Talli amidst of allegations of ticket sales in Telangana Rashtra Samithi, arson in Praja Rajyam Party offices all over the State by distruntled party workers for denial of tickets to their leaders and confusion in the Telugu Desam camp over seat sharing with the Mahakootami partners – have been the highlights in the media on Sunday.

In fact, the entire front page of Sakshi daily has been dedicated to exposing chinks in the Opposition camp. It carried Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s election campaign, but it was also confined to attacking the Opposition. The developments in the rival camps must have been definitely a positive signal for YSR. Another important development on the political front is some minor changes in the list of candidates of the Congress. Sulking candidates like deputy speaker Kutuhalamma and Younis Sultan finally got the place in the list of Congress candidates for the assembly elections.

On the other hand, TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s shifting to Mahbubnagar under pressure from his friend Vijayashanti, who will now be contesting from Medak, has also been an interesting development. The Election Commission’s decision to give notice to KCR and others on allegations of selling of tickets is the second lead in Andhra Jyothy daily. Eenadu carried an interesting item – “KCR c/o Gandaragolam” which clearly exposes the TRS president’s chaotic condition.

In spite of so many developments in the Opposition camp, Eenadu chose to write a negative story against the Congress, stating that its strength in Lok Sabha would come down and its tally might not get be more than 119 seats. At the same time, it published a “Naidu-baaka” story, stating that TD president N Chandrababu Naidu is not sleeping even for three hours due to ticket distribution exercise. What more can we expect from Ramoji Rao?

Chiru White house at tirupathi!!!

PRP Chief Chiranjeevi is stepping into White House. Well, that’s not the one located in Washington DC. It’s in Tirupathi. The house is called White House by locals as that was built in that style. That belongs to Sasidhar Reddy, the owner of a private hospital.

Chiranjeevi decided to stay in Tirupathi and close to people during the time of elections and hence asked his people to search for a house in Tirupathi. The PRP crew searched for various houses and finally things have got zeroed in on this 3000 Sft house located in Khadi Colony that happens to be the heart of the city.

Initially Sasidhar Reddy found reluctant to rent his house but after series of negotiations and offers have gave that house just for 2 months at Rs 1 lakh per month. Chiranjeevi is taking the possession of this house on 2nd April as the day is auspicious because of Saptami. A temporary road was laid in front of this house by PRP people only.

Naidu to encash Jr.NTR accident

Though Friday’s car accident in which Jr NTR suffered multiple injuries might be a setback to the Telugu Desam Party’s campaigning, its president N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have decided to cash in on even this accident.

After coming to know that it would take another two weeks for Jr NTR to recover, Naidu wants to take advantage of the sympathy wave among the people toward the young hero. As part of the strategy, Naidu would record a message from Jr NTR from the hospital bed, appealing to the people to vote for the TDP and apologising to voters for not able to meet them in person because of accident. The script is getting ready and Jr NTR would churn out an emotional appeal from hospital. It would be telecast live by all channels and arranements would be made to screen the message across the length and breadth of the state.

The audio and video cassettes of Jr NTR’s appeal from hospitals would also be sent to all corners during the electioneering. His earlier speeches would also be screened everywhere to stir the emotions of the people. Howzzat?

'Nandamuri Brothers Are Mindless' Says Laxmi Parvathi:

Laxmi Parvathi is not missing any chance to spit verbal poison on Nandamuri clan. Freshly she said that Nandamuri brothers are mindless and mere ‘over active people’. She said that they hardly think before doing things and never think even after doing bad deeds as well. They are mindless and fools too, she added.

“Chandrababu is making them fools which they don’t understand. He backstabbed NTR and now he is not leaving even his sons for his political motives. Poor Nandamuri brothers are jumping in manholes voluntarily”, implied Laxmi Parvathi in her brief talk to media.

She came out and spoke after Jr NTR’s accident and now she is expressing her views on brothers and their brother in law.

NTR friend Vamsi yet to decide on Vijayawada LS

Giving a new twist to the Gannavaram assembly seat controversy, the disgruntled TDP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan has convened an emergency meeting of his followers at Gannavaram on Sunday.

Mohan, a close friend of party’s latest sensation on the campaign front Junior NTR, has been named as party’s candidate for Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency. Sources said a reluctant Vamsi could take a final call on contesting from Vijayawada only after meeting his followers.

Insiders said Naidu cleared Vamsi’s name for the LS seat in the late hours of Friday after discussing the issue with him. Vamsi’s candidature for Vijayawada has allowed the party chief to field Balavardhan Rao from Gannavaram.

Rao is a close follower of Junior NTR’s father Harikrishna. “We are insisting Vamsi to contest from Gannvaram only. We are ready to go with him,” said Nandamur MPTC member Anagani Muneswara Rao, a staunch follower of Vamsi.

Sources said a large number of followers in the constituency wanted him to go it alone and fight the assembly election. At one stage, speculation was rife that Jr NTR had agreed to the proposal and asked Vamsi to file papers on April 4 if the party did not clear his name by that time.

Curiously, Vamsi Mohan has been incommunicado for the last few days leaving the party cadres in a quandary.

Meanwhile, senior leaders in Vijayawada said Vamsi would ultimately contest the LS election

10 Weeks rest for Jr.NTR

Junior NTR, the star campaigner for the Telugu Desam, could well be out of action for six to 10 weeks, said doctors attending him at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences.

They said that there is a 50-50 chance of him being able to participate in the election campaign. The doctors said that the actor had been shifted to solid diet food from Friday night. Though, he is recovering well, he is running a slight temperature.

“It is natural for patients in such cases to run a mild temperature. It is not a major concern,” said Dr B. Bhaskar Rao, CEO, Kims.

The actor had met with an accident late on Thursday night while travelling back to the city to celebrate Ugadi with his family members.

“He is recovering fast. But, nothing can be predicted about his health. It will take us another two-three days to clarify on his condition,” Dr Rao added.

Junior NTR is still in the ICU and will stay there for another day. There were several visitors for the star campaigner. Junior NTR also received a note from his mother.

embarrassing moment for chiru with Krishnam Raju

Finally, former Union Minister U V Krishnam Raju joined Praja Rajyam Party in the presence of its president Chiranjeevi.

However, Krishnam Raju created some embarrassing moments for Chiranjeevi, while addressing a joint press conference. He said he had no problems with Bharatiya Janata Party, whatsoever, but decided to join the PRP only because he felt that he would not be able to serve the state by being in the BJP. To a question, he said at the national level, he would prefer the BJP to the Congress in forming the government.

This naturally created trouble for Chiru, who had earlier outrightly ruled out aligning with the BJP. Chiru, took the mike, and said he did not oppose the BJP or any other party for that matter, but only said the PRP policy was secular and hence would not suit the BJP philosophy.

There was another embarrassing question from the media: whether Krishnam Raju, who was a guru for Chiranjeevi in films, would remain the same in the PRP. Chiranjeevi laughed it off and said he was prepared to give the mantle to Krishnam Raju and be with the people always.

Jr Ntr Saya '100 judges needed to probe Cong corruption'

Telugu Desam’s latest sensation Jr NTR is taking out one salvo after the other to attack the Congress government and Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, so that his speech does not become routine everywhere.

Addressing a road show in East Godavari district on Monday, Jr NTR declared that if TDP came to power in the next elections, it would appoint a judicial commission to probe into the corruption charges against the Chief Minister. ‘In fact, one judge will not be enough to investigate into the corrupt deeds of YSR. It requires at least 100 judges. Such is the magnitude of YSR’s corruption,” he said.

Well, Jr NTR should have also made a study of the magnitude of corruption in Chandrababu Naidu regime and declared how many more judges were needed to probe into his graft.

Jagan factor at play in Anantapur

The Jagan factor was at play in the selection of Congress candidates in Anantapur for the assembly constituencies. So much so that the District Congress Committee (DCC) president P Venugopal Reddy, who is a close follower of chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, had to eat a humble pie as he was denied ticket from Rayadurg.

The seat was given to K Ramachandra Reddy, a close relative of Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who is business partner of CM’s son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Though the DCC chief was defeated by industrialist M Govinda Reddy in the last elections, he was nursing hopes of coming good this time.

For starters, Ramachandra Reddy is the joint managing director of Obulapuram mining company (OMC) located in D Hirehal mandal of Rayadurg assembly constituency on the Karnataka border and Gali is OMC’s MD as well as promoter of Brahmini Steels, which is setting up a mega steel factory in YSR’s Kadapa district.

Sources told media that Venugopal Reddy had complained to the CM about direct involvement of OMC owners in local politics. “Venugopal was asked to shut up and mind his business. But he didn’t expect that he would be given a raw deal when it came to selection of candidates,” an insider in the party said.

With more acreage of quality iron ore mines of OMC located in Rayadurg segment, the iron ore tycoons want to have a total grip on local politics so that their business can flourish, a source said. Apart from Gali, his brother Karunakar Reddy and close follower B Sreeramulu are serving as ministers in the BJP-led government in Karnataka.

Insiders said the mining tycoons had laid out a fullfledged plan a few months ago to ensure Ram a ch a n d r a ’s smooth entry from Rayadurg seat by launching social service activities like performing mass marriages, drilling borewells for drinking water purposes and providing financial assistance for poor students in Rayadurg area.

“What more, Ramachandra Reddy plunged into serious election campaign 10 days ago even before his name was finalised for Rayadurg,” a source revealed. Sources said the Congress top brass dropped enough hints to Ramachandra Reddy, that he would be “the” official nominee and not the DCC chief. “Armed with this assurance, Ramachandra went about claiming to the voters that he will develop the area in all aspects like no one had done before,” a follower of the DCC chief added.

TRS-TDP high drama!

The high drama enacted by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao, declaring that his party has come out of the Mahakootami and would contest all seats in Telangana has created ripples in the state politics, and of course, created sleepless nights for the electronic media journalists.

KCR called up media offices and told them about the failure of talks with Telugu Desam party. Since it is a late night development, it could not become a banner headline for the dailies on Tuesday, but was given a lot of prominence, though it has become hot news for the television channels. Within minutes of KCR calling up the media, TDP senior leader Yerran Naidu denied the talk that the Mahakootami was split and that the talks were still going on. In fact, even after KCR’s announcement, the TRS leaders T Harish Rao and E Rajender continued to hold talks with the TD leaders.

So, Sakshi described it as a TRS shock to Mahakootami, while Andhra Jyothy said the TRS had cut off from the Kootami and Eenadu played it down saying there is still stalemate in seat sharing in Mahakootami. The Congress manifesto made it to the top story in all the three dailies, of course with different headlines. Sakshi said the manifesto reflected aspirations of common man; AJ quoted Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s comment that “My tenure is a golden period in the state history” while Eenadu’s headline is again YSR’s remark that “there is no match for him.”

The simmering discontent within the Congress over the list of candidates has become the second lead in Andhra Jyothy, which tried to project that there was going to be a lot of dissidence in the Congress against the contestants. Eenadu, too, has made a negative story as its second lead, stating that YSR’s claim of 234 MLA seats and 36 MP seats was over-estimation, and that the ground situation is far from his expectations.

UP chief minister Mayawati’s low-key public meeting also made it to the front page news in Sakshi and Eenadu. And the launch of Nano car by Tatas was also a major news for Sakshi

Election Tamasha: Stampede fear in PR office

Whenever Chiranjeevi’s new flicks hit theatres, proprietors of cinema halls used to take utmost security measures fearing stampede at the ticket counters.

Now, a similar situation is prevailing at Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam headquarters as the selection of PR candidates for the upcoming polls is coming to an end.

This has prompted the Praja Rajyam authorities to tighten security at the their central offices.

Allotment of Assembly tickets has kept the security staff of the PR central offices on their toes.

The swanky building at Jubilee Hills, which houses Geeta Arts office, a film production house of Mr Allu Aravind, brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi, has turned into a fortress.

The glass walls of the building have been covered with plywood boards to minimise damage in case disgruntled aspirants turn violent. Mr Aravind is playing a key role in the selection process of the PR candidates.

The fledgling party has already tasted the wrath of party leaders who attacked PR offices in various districts when the state committee was announced.

Interestingly, the PR leadership is conducting “counselling classes” for aspirants who are vying for the same seat, so as to pacify the discontent among them.

Along with Mr Aravind and Mr Devender Goud, Chiranjeevi is taking part in these meetings to justify the reasons for chosing a particular candidate.

Chiranjeevi has warned ticket aspirants in his party not to resort to dissidence if they are denied tickets.

He said any dissident activity would be dealt with firmly.

The Praja Rajyam is now giving final touches to the list of candidates. The party leadership is planning to release the first list with 70 candidates either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

“We are expecting a large number of people to migrate from the Grand Alliance after the Telugu Desam releases its first list. So, we are not finalising candidates in segments where Mahakutami members are at loggerheads,” said a close aide of Chiranjeevi.

Jayasudha takes on Jr NTR

Actor and Congress nominee from Secunderabad Assembly constituency, Jayasudha, took on actor Junior NTR in her blog Jayam Manade (victory is ours).

She belittled Junior NTR and wrote:
"It is funny how legacies are carried on in our state. Many people talk about how NTR (Jr.) inherited the charisma of his illustrious grandfather. I do not know what to say about such comparisons. No doubt NTR (Jr.) is a very good actor. He also seems to have all the famous dialogues of his grandfather on his finger tips but when NTR (Sr.) spoke there was a soul to his words.

I think people get so carried away with the memory of a great name that they seem to forget everything else. It does not seem to matter if the man in question is a womaniser or a drunk, all that matters is the last name. It is so nauseating to see all that is being played out in the name of NTR that I just avoid it. The real NTR fan will know that there can only be one NTR. "

No fancy promises: YSR

Unlike the Telugu Desam manifesto, which promised free colour TV sets and cash transfer scheme for the poor, the Congress manifesto released on Monday is simple and straight: the party would take forward its development and welfare agenda with more vigour.

“We don’t make fancy and impracticable promises in air. Our feet are firmly on the ground. We will take our existing programmes forward with more vigour and eradicate poverty,” Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said while releasing the manifesto. He rejected the theory that the Rs 2 a kg rice scheme and free power to farmers were populist schemes. “They are a sort of incentives to the people who work hard,” he said.

Among the new promises made in the manifesto are: nine-hour uninterrupted power supply to agriculture free of cost and round-the-clock power supply to the other sectors throughout the state; creating a hutless state in the next five years, supply of LPG connections to all houses and increasing per head rice quota from 4 kg to 6 kg a month at Rs 2 a kg.

Besides, the manifesto promised extension of “pavala vaddi” scheme to rural artisans, 100 per cent electrification of all households, construction of toilets for all weaker section houses and issuance of biometric identity cards to all citizens in the state.

'Jump jilanees' in Congress

Now that the Congress has announced its list of candidates, defections have started from it into the other parties.

Following the resignation of senior MLA Penmatsa Sambasiva Raju, others also started looking for jumping into other parties. Kakinada MLA Mutta Gopalakrishna resigned from the party and is planning to join the PRP. Another MLA from Santhanuthalapadu Dara Sambaiah also quit the party and joined the BSP in the presence of Mayawati.

Minister Gollapalli Surya Rao, who was also denied the ticket, raised serious allegations against Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, stating that corruption had become rampant during YSR regime and that he had been denied ticket only because he question a small portion of corruption in his district involving J C Diwakar Reddy. He is also looking up to the PRP.

More “jump jilanees” are in the offing, Gandhi Bhavan sources say.

Who is the WInner for CM????

The election process has been set in motion. With the issuance of poll notification on Monday, tension has started mounting up in all political parties. Compared to all the other parties, the Congress is sitting pretty by announcing the list of candidates well in advance and Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy is oozing confidence over the Congress party’s victory in the elections.

The Chief Minister gave a series of interviews to the media on Sunday and happily posed for photographs. Among the three major Telugu dailies, Andhra Jyothy gave a positive headline for YSR, stating that the people’s verdict would be in favour of the Congress. Eenadu carried the interview in its election special page, stating that corruption would not be an issue in the elections, as no allegation of corruption was proved. Sakshi, however, used the interview to attack the Telugu Desam, saying that Naidu was giving impracticable “all free” promises, knowing fully well that he would not come to power.

On the other hand, the Opposition parties, particularly the Telugu Desam is in disarray, as there is no progress in the seat sharing talks among partners of Mahakootami. As regards Praja Rajyam, the first list might be released on Monday, but it is still groping in the dark about its election symbol. Sakshi suspects it to be a clever strategy on the part of Telangana Rashtra Samithi to prevent dissidence within the party. Eenadu made it a big banner, stating that the Telugu Desam and TRS were adamant on their seats and that KCR had fixed a deadline till Monday afternoon.

The appointment of A K Mohanty as new DGP, demise of yesteryears’ hero T L Kantha Rao, death of four Andhra students in the USA, decision of IPL to shift the cricket matches to foreign land and disqualification of Varun Gandhi by the Election Commission are the other important developments that were carried in brief on the front pages of the dailies.

'Chiru Said CBN Becomes PM' .Says Jr NTR

Jr NTR has been using logic and digging history to convince the people those are attending his road shows. Freshly he recalled a statement given by Chiranjeevi on Chandrababu in the year 2002.

“While NTR brought glory to ‘Teluguvaadi Atmagouravam’ in National Level, it is Nara Chandrababu Naidu who took the pride of Telugu to international level with his hitec ideas. I’m not saying this. The new leader who started a party with the buzz word ‘maarpu’ said this long back in a film Function held at Vijayawada (Indra). On that occasion that film star turned politician said that Chandrababu is the best CM and he has the caliber to become Prime Minister as well”, said Jr NTR at Bikkavolu road show of East Godavari today.

The response from PRP would obviously be silent. But still let us see if there will be any response.

Radha Krishna back to chiru promotion!!!

Has Andhra Jyothy managing director V Radhakrishna once again taken up the task of promoting Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi in the elections?

One would get the doubt after seeing the front page of the daily on Wednesday. Barring a box item against Congress MLC Premsagar who was caught red-handed with Rs 3 crore hard cash by the Income Tax officials, the entire page was dedicated to Chiranjeevi’s road show in Krishna district and his brother Pavan Kalyan’s interview. There is nothing else to read in the front page of the daily.

Initially, Radhakrishna was trying promote Chiranjeevi and project himself as a kingmaker, on the lines of Eenadu group chairman Ramoji Rao, who propped up Telugu Desam founder-president N T Rama Rao and later N Chandrababu Naidu. But, with Chiranjeevi keeping Radhakrishna at bay (obviously because of caste equations), he went back to promoting the TDP and attacking YSR. In the last few days, Radhakrishna has been attacking Sujana group’s Y S Chowdary, a close associate of Naidu and giving prominence to Chiranjeevi, though he was also highlighting Jr NTR’s road show. This has given rise to the doubts that Chiranjeevi might have sought Radhakrishna’s help in projecting the PRP and one does not know the details of bargaining between the two.

In Eenadu, too, there is no major news on the front page, except an expected analytical report on high command overruling several of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s suggestions in the selection of MP candidates for the elections. Apart from that, there are a couple of photographs of Chiranjeevi’s and Jr NTR’s road shows. Chiranjeevi’s promise of providing LPG at Rs 100 was also highlighted at the top.

On the other hand, Sakshi’s banner story is about Indiramma housing scheme coming to a grinding halt due to implementation of model code of conduct and the Opposition parties raising needless controversies. It was a sort of explanation from the government for not completing the houses in time. Apart from IT officials arresting the Congress MLC at the Delhi airport, all the other stories are political press conferences: one by Naidu, defending his relationship with Jr NTR and another by Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao, who explained the pathetic childhood of Jr NTR.

Balakrishna Head replaced with chiru head!!!

Political campaigning is unveiling curtains for lot of creativity. While PRP chief Chiranjeevi has introduced his masks to pump enthusiasm in his fans and flag bearers, a hardcore fan Mathi Venkateshwara Rao has taken 10 steps ahead to morph an image of Balayya with Chiru's head. The famous Sri Krishna Devaraya get up of Balakrishna is being used by Chiru now. You can see the pic above. That was the still of Balayya who portrayed that role and entertained many Telugus in home and abroad. Probably Chiranjeevi might have felt that since he cannot do such role anytime in his life time, it is nice to see in this morphed picture. We don’t know what Mathi Venkateshwara Rao got from Chiru with this.

Jr NTR Road Show Gallery

Jr NTR is mad Fellow

Whether the Congress leaders agree or not, Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy is definitely disturbed with the way Telugu Desam star campaigner Jr NTR is taking the north-coastal Andhra by storm with his road shows.

For the first time, Jr NTR made a new allegation against YSR: that he had conducted padayatra in 2003 not to understand the problems of farmers, but to make a physical survey of lands to be occupied in the name of Special Economic Zones after the Congress came into power.

YSR refused to react on Jr NTR’s comments, when media persons asked his comment. “I cannot react to such allegations being made by a mad fellow. People know the reasons for my historic padayatra. You don’t ask me such questions,” he shouted at the media in New Delhi.

'Maha Kavyam' On Jr NTR by AJ

There are times when admiration turns into obsession but then things tend to get really ridiculous when some responsible entities of the society tend to do that mistake. Something like that seems to be happening right now with the Andhra Jyothy folks and their passion for the new boy in politics.

He is none other than Jr NTR and barely three days since he has begun his political tours that the established and esteemed Andhra Jyothy folks came up with an epic story of his. Those who have read it were in dismay as it reminded them of the great Allasani Peddana known for his choice of words.

Apparently, Jr NTR has been lifted sky high with the detailed description about him, his mannerisms and his words but then most of the readers have been quite repulsive about it as they feel that it looks more like an obsession and a childish gesture to promote their thoughts than come out as a mature media avenue.

Andhra Jyothy has been struggling to promote TDP in the best way possible. But so far they could find all duds from Balayya to Tarakarathna where there is no scope for ‘maha varnana’. Now they could find Jr NTR with some hope and hence Radhakrishna is digging out Allasani Peddanas, Tikkanas and Nannayas from Andhra Jyothy desk team.

Face 2 Face : Shabbir to Jr NTR

The state minister for power, Mr Md Ali Shabbir, on Monday asked TD campaigner Junior NTR to first secure marital status for his mother, Ms Shalini, before talking about social justice in the state.

Addressing a media conference, Mr Shabbir said though Mr Harikrishna, son of the late N.T. Rama Rao, is continuing his relationship with Ms Shalini, she has not been recognised by NTR’s family members yet.

He recalled his commenting on actor Pavan Kalyan’s relationship with Ms Renu Desai. He said he had then pointed out that Pavan, brother of the Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi, had not married Ms Desai even after procuring divorce from his first wife. The minister said Pavan realised the mistake and married Ms Desai. Mr Ali asked Junior NTR to put pressure on his father Mr Harikrishna to see that Ms Shalini gets marital status.

Mr Ali ridiculed the Telugu Desam chief, Mr Chandrababu Naidu’s announcement of 12-hour of free power to all farmers in the state at daytime. He asked why had Mr Naidu supplied power for just seven hours — that too with charges — during his tenure. The power minister accused the former chief minister of booking cases against almost one lakh farmers in the state during his rule.

Vijayashanthi disppointed with him!!!

Who should contest from Medak parliamentary constituency? That was the dilemma of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao for the last few days.

According to reports, KCR wanted to contest from Medak, leaving his Karimangar seat to his son K Rama Rao. So, he asked his new-found friend and TRS secretary general Vijayashanti to move to Malkajgiri or Zaheerabad. In fact, Vijayashanti was originally promised Karimnagar seat, but with Rama Rao evincing interest in LS seat, KCR was compelled to ask her to choose the other two seats.

Vijayashanti reportedly got upset with KCR and did not attend TRS office for two days. Finally, KCR had to go to her residence, pacify her and agreed to field her from Medak and he decided to go back to Karimnagar. What can Ramu do, if father himself wants to contest from his seat?

Ntr is better than Chiru!!!

When two famous personalities from the same field tend to compete against each other, comparisons tend to arise between each other irrespective of their age or experience. Something like that is right now happening between megastar Chiranjeevi and young tiger NTR Jr.

It is being said by many people that though Chiranjeevi has the appeal and charm due to his film charisma he has not been that pounding with his dialogues and words in his speeches. On the other hand, NTR Jr has been romping with some high adrenaline dialogues and words which are causing impact.

People are now saying that NTR jr is better than Chiru but then it must be borne in mind that if he has to keep up this image, NTR has to deliver the same kind of goods for the rest of his trip while Chiru still has the chance to come up with a series of high voltage script and perhaps overtake NTR in the climax. This should be interesting.

Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi says shame on you balaiah!!

President of defunct NTR-Telugu Desam party Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi is very much frustrated for being treated as a villain in the August 2005 coup by TD president N Chandrababu Naidu against her husband and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.

She reacted strongly to TD star campaigner Nandamuri Balakrishna’s comment that Naidu had not resorted to any backstabbing of his father, but had to stage a coup only to save the party from the clutches of Lakshmi Parvathi. “Balaiah should feel ashamed of defending Naidu, who had backstabbed his father. I throw him an open challenge; come for an open debate and say that what NTR said against Naidu in his tapes was wrong,” she said.

Of course, Balakrishna would not react to her challenge, because he knows the fact. And if he does, it would only give publicity to Lakshmi Parvathi. So, all that she speaks would not get her any publicity!

Lokesh is an intelligent or an intellectual ???

Congress Legislature Party has ridiculed the deliberate attempts being made in the last few days in projecting Nara Lokesh Naidu as an intellectual from Stanford University engaged in the noble task of designing new schemes for the welfare of the people.

Describing it as a big joke, the CLP said it was unfortunate on the part of former TD MP Ummareddy Venkatewarulu to say that Lokesh Naidu, with his international connections, designed the direct cash transfer scheme proposed in the draft manifesto of the TDP. According to the Congress leaders, IIT guru Chukka Ramaiah had refused admission for IIT entrance to Lokesh, despite Chandrababu Naidu personally talking to him, only because Lokesh’s performance in the X class was poor. In fact, Ramaiah said Lokesh would never be in a position to make it to the IIT.

Even the admission of Lokesh in Stanford University was not by merit. There are allegations that Satyam chairman Ramalinga Raju made donations to Stanford University and got Lokesh a seat in the donor’s category. “Let Ummareddy release to the media the scores of Lokesh in X class and GMAT exam. And all what is so great about the cash transfer scheme? It is nothing but a bait to pay cash to the citizens in the State in the hope of getting elected. It costs nothing less than Rs 36,000 crores per annum additionally,” the CLP said.
