KCR fort ni goud occupy chesthunnadu telusa!!!

Nava Telangana Praja Party president T Devender Goud on Friday virtually conquered Karimnagar, the stronghold of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao.

This is not the first time that Goud visited Karimnagar after quitting the Telugu Desam – before launching the NTPP, he visited Singareni Collieries to attract the coal mine workers. But this time, Goud received tremendous response from the Telangana activists, who were earlier backing the TRS.

A large number of Telangana agitators, including employees, students and other intellectuals attended Goud's meeting. All these forces, once strongly campaigned for the TRS. According to them, if the TRS joins hands with the Telugu Desam, its credibility would completely go down and KCR might even lose the elections in 2009. If Goud can muster support in Karimnagar, he can conquer the other parts of the Telangana too, sources say.

Lets go attack

PRP chief Chiranjeevi might have thought he would enjoy good relationship with leaders of all political parties. But, he is already under attack from all sides.

While the Telugu Desam leaders have already launched virulent attack on him for poaching upon their important leaders and cadres into PRP, for the first time, Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy attacked Chiranjeevi from the dais of a public meeting at Anantapur. He said people should not get carried away by film stars, because politics is not acting. To serve people and understand their problems, one should be part of them and therefore, one cannot expect to become the Chief Minister overnight using his filmy image.

On the other hand, CPI-M State secretary B V Raghavulu also came down heavily on Chiranjeevi for encouraging defections from the Left parties. Those who were expelled from the party on the charges of criminal activities and corruption were also joining Chiranjeevi, who does not seem to have any control over who is coming into his party, Raghavulu said.

Bharatiya Janata Party and even TRS are also critical of the style of functioning of Chiranjeevi. As PCC president D Srinivas said the take off of PRP is not perfect.

PRP Wants Only 'Crorepathis'

There is place for only Crorepathis in Praja Rajyam, especially for key positions. To confer tickets for various candidates, the bank balance is the major criteria for PRP. Dr Vinay, a kapu by caste and a former Union Minister's son, and a key person in Core Committee of PRP, is looking into the aspects of finding right people for bestowing tickets. A minimum Rs 5 Cr should be the bank balance for any aspiring candidate to spend generously in coming elections from Chiranjeevi's party. Chiranjeevi has been saying that he would put an end to corruption. But what an aspiring candidate spends @ Rs 5 Cr during election? If that is the budget he has to spend for liquor and biryani packets, which is again a kind of bribe for people to cast votes. How can a party that gives bribe abstains from accepting? Things are ad hoc in PRP right now. Inside news says that if PRP comes to power, Dr Mitra and Allu Aravind will taking the key ministerial positions.
