Jagan statements changing Odarpu Yatra

This pic taken from sakshi's paper:

Well well let us remember from starting of the Odarpu Yatra last year, there was a huge publicity for Jagan. The people all over the state had admired him a lot of interest because he was traveling across all districts without caring of summer and heavy rains to call on the families of shock death victims and paying them compensation.

It is more than a year since he had commenced this yatra and it is yet to be completed.

During this period, there were a lot of changes in the state politics and Jagan has made his intentions clear by launching a new political party YSR Congress and attacking the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party. As a result, the focus of Odarpu Yatra has changed completely and the people are able to see through his game plan to gain political mileage in the name of consoling the families.

During his earlier Odarpu Yatras, he was only talking about his father YSR and how he had loved the people. Only at the concluding public meeting, he used to make one or two political comments. But now, Jagan is more focusing on attacking the rival parties than really consoling the people. He is talking politics at every stage.

At the ongoing Odarpu Yatra in Anantapur, too, Jagan is making only political comments.

On Tuesday, Jagan said YSR Congress party was going to emerge as the champion of the people and whenever elections are held, the Congress and the TDP candidates would lose their deposits.

“The people are not prepared to vote for these parties again, as they miserably failed to attend to the people’s problems. God (read YSR) is watching everything. He would teach them a fitting lesson,” Jagan said.

Anytime Jagan met Jayashankar?

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy expressed his condolences over the death of Telangana activist Prof K Jayashankar in Warangal on Tuesday.
Jagan in his words described him as "Jayashankar as a great humanist and a warrior who had fought against discrimination of neglected sections and areas." and  “He has given a democratic and ideological shape to the Telangana movement. His life is a role model for many leaders,” Jagan said.
There was not a single occasion when Jagan had met Jayashankar, leave alone interacting with him and learning about his ideological strength. One does not remember the Kadapa MP ever visiting Warangal, except for the infamous and abortive Odarpu Yatra. There was no occasion when both of them met for a long time.
Yes Jagan had to issue the statement as he is now a political party president. And he knows he cannot get into the good books of Telangana people without even condoling the death of Jayashankar!
