Chilakaluripet: That script writer, actor and director Posani Krishna Murali is a maverick is an understatement. A “good friend” of mega star Chiranjeevi, he joined the Prajarajyam Party and subsequently was rewarded with Chilakaluripet assembly ticket in his home district of Guntur. Strangely enough, the eccentric director is giving a tough time to his own party cadre. On Day One of his campaign, he had a curt message to party cadre: “I am not going to pay anything to you for trailing me. I cannot even provide you food or liquor. Come along with me only if you want to see Chiranjeevi as CM or get lost!”
“Dabbulu adigina vadu, tisukuni pracharam chese vadu iddaru vedhavalu (Those who ask for money and those who take money are idiots),” he said. Shocked party leaders tried to reason with him in vain that some party workers are really poor.
“I will pull Chiranjeevi’s collar if he asks me to distribute money,” the actorpolitician said much to the chargin of the cadres.
The other day, Posani was all fire and brimstone at media persons for asking him about his roots. “Is Chilakaluripet located in Pakistan? Am I not living in India? Who is local and who is non-local? Naidu wins election from Kuppam and resides in Hyderabad. YSR wins elections from Kadapa and stays in Hyderabad. Are they locals?” he thundered.
Then, it was the turn of the local leaders. When one asked him about his “availability” in the constituency after the election, his shocking reply was: “I will always be available on my mobile except when I am eating, am with my wif, and when I am writing my scripts.”
During his campaign, Posani went into a Dalit colony and asked the women who were on their way to attend nature’s call. “Have you ever seen the wives of MLAs, MPs and CMs going behind bushes like you?” he asked. The women, who did not take kindly to his remarks, reportedly chased him from the village. He later clarified that he wanted to promise them that he would construct toilets for women.
Unable to digest Posani’s unending barbs, state Yuvarajyam secretary Kasa Rama Srinu quit the party.
Stylish star Allu Arjun seems to have had the taste of some reality during his three day ‘Rail Yatra’. Though he was trying to be his cheerful best and came out with highly confident statements about PRP’s win, the allegation his father has been facing seems to have pushed him to the corner.
It is now said that Allu Arjun has taken a stand on the people those are throwing cold water on his father. He is believed to have said that he will come out one day to answer everyone in his style and that day, he will silence all those who have been slinging out mud at his father Allu Aravind.
On hearing this, many are saying that Arjun is too young to even realize what has been happening and so his reactions are expected, as a son. Practically, he still needs to have the same heat inside him till the time the election results are announced and the outcome of PRP is known. Till such time, revenge can wait…
The Telugu Desam Party is not leaving any chance to grab victory in the elections and in the process, make some quick money. The party leadership has sent CDs containing speeches of TD’s star campaigner Jr NTR to all parts of the state, so that the local level leaders would either telecast or screen them in public display to attract voters. Since Jr NTR is not a position to campaign in the elections, the CDs containing his speeches made during the road shows before accident would attract voters to the TD, the leadership felt.
However, the local level party leaders are making a quick money by selling the CDs to party workers, rather than telecasting or broadcasting them. The workers are preserving them as if they are some film CDs!
Tollywood hero Nagarjuna has a lot of sympathy for Chiranjeevi, his erstwhile collage in the industry and a partner in Maa TV.
He said on Monday that after entering politics, Chiranjeevi had lost his charm and smile on his face, because politics was not a comfortable profession. “I don’t think it is easy for Chiranjeevi to realise his dream; yet I feel he should become a success in politics, too,” Nag said.
He further said he always wished that Chiranjeevi should be happy. “But now, I don’t think he is happy,” he observed. He was all praise for Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government’s schemes and programmes, but declared that he was not going to campaign for the Congress in elections. “I don’t belong to any party,” he said.
In a special interview in flight, with TV5, Chandrababu Naidu was asked to express his opinion on Chiranjeevi.
Then he immediately started saying, “I have to first explain about YSR to say about Chiranjeevi. YSR is a cruel factionist. He helps only the people those he like. He toes down the people those are not liked by him. That is very dangerous for democratic system. But Chiranjeevi is more dangerous, because, he is ‘asamardhudu’. The rule of an ‘asamardhudu’ will be more dangerous for democracy. It took 1 month for me to prepare for manifesto. It took one month for me to filed candidates. But Chiranjeevi hardly spent any time on both. Moreover he has no manifesto. He has no understanding also. His brother in law works on fielding candidates. Some other person writes script. Some other fellow reads the so called manifesto. It’s like cinema shooting in PRP”.
In fact, Chandrababu came out with his expression in very hard manner today.
Praja Rajyam Party women’s wing president Shobha Rani, known for her loud mouth character, has crossed all limits of decency.
On Tuesday, she along with her friends, attacked NTV office, beat up a woman reporter Rehana and damaged the camera. She wanted to register her protest against a sting operation conducted by the channel exposing match-fixing between PRP and the Congress leaders in Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency. The report said the PRP had deliberately fielded a weak candidate in Bhongir by taking money. Hence the attack.
Shobha, who belongs to the clan of MRPS president Manda Krishna, seems to have thought she would get more publicity by resorting to physical attacks. Unfortunately, she got only bad name.
There were two opinions on Parakala Prabhakar at this juncture as he jumped out from PRP and started mudslinging on it. It is said that Ramoji is the person behind Parakala’s episode. Parakala Prabhakar has been associated with ETV for quite a long time and he has very good rapport with Ramoji Rao. Parakala gained popularity with ETV and hence he is highly loyal for Ramoji Rao.
It was pre planned by Ramoji Rao to plant Parakala in PRP and later use him in support of TDP knowing the strengths and weaknesses of Chiranjeevi’s party that shows detrimental affect on TDP than another party. So, highly reliable source from Eenadu group says that even though Parakala aims at joining Congress, that’s again to do covert job for Ramoji Rao.
So, Parakala is Ramoji’s man, which means a hardcore supported of TDP.
