Black White Flick In Color By NTR

He was known as the true personification of Lord Rama and Krishna on screen and if someone is asked as to how they look then they would point out only in one direction – towards that of the legendary NTR. Any Telugu person in the entire world will accept without doubt that NTR was the best when it came to enacting the divine roles.

Now, his yesteryears magic is all set to make reappearance on the screen and that too with the modern touch like color and the audio digitalization. We are talking about the 1960 movie 'Venkateswara Mahatyam' which will soon be arriving with the said changes and all NTR devotees can see him once again on the silver screen.

The person responsible for making all this happen is the noted Tamil producer O K Mani and it is a rather proud feeling that a Tamil person is taking pains to bring back the legacy of a Telugu legend. On the other hand, NTR enjoys some true patronage even in the Tamil audience so it could well be a treat for the devotional audience of Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.

Yes to Ghandhigiri or not???

Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi has thrashed many a villain in reel life, but he will be adopting a non-confrontationist Gandhigiri style in his political life. In fact, Chiranjeevi had played a role in popularising Gandhigiri in the state through his film ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad,’ a remake of the popular Munnabhai MBBS. Now he is going to translate it to the realm of politics too. It is known that he Praja Rajyam chief has been poring through books of self-help gurus such as Stephen R. Covey, Norman Vincent Peale and Dale Carnegie to teach his party workers a non-confrontationist problem-solving approach in political matters. Even if the Praja Rajyam leaders come under severe attack from political rivals, the party would exercise utmost restraint while retaliating.

“Chiranjeevi wants to establish moral standards in the political system,” said the Praja Rajyam spokesperson, Mr Parakala Prabhakar. “To ensure this, he has asked leaders and workers in the party not to respond for criticisms from other parties.” The rule is applicable to leaders and workers of all levels and was also impressed upon Rayalaseema strongman Mr Bhuma Nagi Reddy when he joined the party. “Even Tammineni Sitaram was given a lecture on non violence when he joined,” said a close aide of Chiranjeevi. The Praja Rajyam will adopt this pacifist attitude even in the agitations it will take up.

However, Chiranjeevi will not wear Khadi to advertise his Gandhism and will continue to don his customary white shirt and black trousers. “You won’t find any change in my attire. I want to go to the public with my normal dress,” Chiranjeevi told this correspondent. The actor feels that his customary dress code would touch the hearts of middle and lower middle class people, whose votes he is looking for. It was film actor-turned-politician Mr N.T.Rama Rao who broke the traditional laws of politics by wearing khaki dress to identify with the poor. Later, NTR opted for saffron clothing and a turban

'Check' To Upendra

Vijayawada: Former Union Minister and veteran politician Parvataneni Upendra, who has been keeping a low profile since 2004 elections, wanted to jump into active politics these days.

It was heard from the family circles, that Upendra would join Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam and would be one among the coterie. However, it has been more than a month that the Megastar had launched the party and every sundry leader is joining the Praja Rajyam except Upendra.

Now, it is heard that his son-in-law and Vijayawada MP, Lagadapati Rajagopal, is said to be the reason why Upendra did not visit Praja Rajyam party office till date. It is a fact that Upendra wanted to return to the active politics to keep a check on his son-in-law. But Rajagopal had a different game plan to win against his father in law.

Rajagopal established a drama that he is not in good terms with his wife, Padma. Padma is Upendra's pet and the former Union Minister would give his life for her. In fact his attachment to the daughter had distanced him from his sons, who also wanted to teach a lesson to Rajagopal. However, it is said that Upendra is keeping silent because of a request from his daughter, Padma.

The sources said that Rajagopal had asked Padma to stop her father entering politics as that would cause problems to his political growth in the Congress. And Padma is playing the role of Lagadapatii family's daughter in law but not as Parvathaneni's daughter. He had even reportedly laid conditions to Parvathaneni family that he would be 'friendly' with Padma, only if Upendra kept himself away from active politics – particularly out of Praja Rajyam.

While Upendra looks at Praja Rajyam to hit his son-in-law, Rajagopal has already established his Rajyam in Upendra's family.

KCR condition rejected by Vijayashanthi

Heroine-turned-Talli Telangana president Vijayashanti is understood to have rejected the condition put forth by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for merger of her party with TRS.

The TRS president said last week that the merger would take place in two or three days. But even after five days, it did not materialise.

Inquiries revealed that Vijayashanti did not accept KCR's condition, after discussing with her colleagues in the party. They told her that she would lose her identity, once she joins the TRS and it was very difficult for her to adjust to KCR's style of functioning.

They suggested that she could agree to have a tie-up with TRS and also with other Telangana outfits like Nava Telangana Praja Party of Devender Goud, so that she would have some bargaining power. If she joins TRS, she might not even get the party ticket in the next elections, they warned. So, that is the story so far!
