TDP + TRS = unethical

Senior Telugu Desam MLA S V Subba Reddy, who has always been a rebellion within the party, has fired yet another salvo against party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

He told a private TV channel that it was totally unethical on the part of Naidu to think of an alliance with Telangana Rashtra Samithi, just to get a few seats in Telangana. He said that would create a serious problem for TD in other areas. "If Naidu allots certain number of seats to TRS, the TD is going to lose double the number of seats in other regions," he warned.

He said leaders from Telangana and coastal Andhra were misleading Naidu on Telangana issue, only to please him and keep their seats in tact. So, trouble has begun in TD over Telangana!

Eka Tour start and Box badhalu avuthudha leka ???

Megastar and Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi is of the opinion that he would emerge as a strong leader once he completes his State-wide tour and his party would grow into a full-fledged political organization.

But political observers say the tour would be a real test for Chiranjeevi, because he is going to face hell lot of problems from his fans, ticket aspirants and local leaders. Already, there have been clashes between fans and local leaders who have migrated from other parties on making arrangements for Chiru's visit. Naturally, money plays a major role here. And those who spend money would naturally expect some benefit from Chiru.

Chiru would have to solve all these issues. If there are ugly incidents during the tour, that would create a bad image for Chiru and the Congress would quickly use the situation to its advantage. By the time he returns from the tour, he would be facing hell lot of problems. So, politics is not so easy, man!

Joke of the day

Chiru stunned with media power!!!

Praja Rajyam party president Chiranjeevi has realised the "power" of the media. Even before he was in the final round of discussions with his "core committee leaders" over his State-wide tour programme, all the dailies reported on Sunday that his tour would begin on October 2, the Gandhi Jayanti day.

Chiru who spoke to mediapersons, wondered how they were able to source the information which was being discussed within the party. "Our people are yet to give me a final note on my tour programme, But, you have already declared the date. Now, I should make up my mind, whether I should go by the date fixed by you, or defer it by a couple of days more," he said.

He, however, said the party would organise a programme "Janda Panduga" from October 2, in which party flag would be unveiled in every nook and corner of the State. Perhaps, over-enthusiastic media might have thought Chiru would kick off his tour with that programme.

Tarakaratna actual name is ......????

It is a general habit for the audience to get used to the film name of stars and the perfect example for that would be Chiranjeevi whose real name is Sivasankara Varaprasad. Chiru aside, there are few other stars too whose real names have never come out into the open and folks believe that what they have on screen is their real name.

A good instance for that would be our Nandamuri hero Tarakaratna. Did you know that his real name is Nandamuri Obulesu and that's what he was called as before he changed his name and entered the industry. Apparently, Tarakaratna evolves from the combination of his grandfather NTR's name and title, Taraka from Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao and Ratna from 'Nata Ratna' his title.

However, despite the numerous magical combination and coming up with an impressive name, this has failed to take the graph of Obulesu anywhere in the industry and those movies that were announced sometime back have any chances left of seeing the light. What if he gets back to his original name and tries his luck? Perhaps that could work

The actual history of praja rajyam

No, we are not talking about the recently founded party by Megastar Chiranjeevi which is still in its infant stages. We are talking about the movie 'Praja Rajyam' that was churned out from the banner of Padmalaya studios starring superstar Krishna and the eternal beauty Jayaprada and this movie hit the screens exactly 25 years ago.

True to its title, the story revolved around the issues of farmers and this was the result of Krishna's promise to his mother Nagaratnamma that he would make a movie on the farmers' issues. It was presented under the Ratna movies banner and was directed b M Mallikarjuna Rao. The highlight of the film was the dialogues that were penned by Paruchuri Brothers and became a big hit during those times.

Interestingly, the film was also shot in Burripalem which happens to be Krishna's native and there was one scene that had about four hundred bullock carts along with hundreds of people which was considered a major feat in those days. So this 'Praja Rajyam' by Krishna was a trendsetter of its time but will Chiru's 'Praja Rajyam' create some similar magic? That remains to be seen.
