Murali Mohan: 'Jayasudha Is My Sister'

He might have passed his prime time of life but still manages to look as young as a late 40 year old even at 69. He is none other than Murali Mohan and with his new assignments in MAA and now the political debut; Murali Mohan is getting more and more famous with passing time.

Recently, the Zee Telugu channel was shooting the Swara Neerajanam program and this had Murali Mohan episode wherein hit songs from his movie were sung by participants. One among that was the famous song that had Murali Mohan and the Sahaja nati Jayasudha in it.

Recalling his thoughts about Jayasudha, Murali Mohan mentioned that both of them have done many movies together. He stressed that whatever role they have done on screen, Jayasudha is like his sister in real life. Now, folks have been wondering as to what was the need for Murali Mohan to come out with that statement although not asked. Any ideas??

'LSP will win more seats than TRS'

The Lok Satta Party (LSP) has refuted the charges made against party president Jayaprakash Narayan by his Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) rival in Kukatpally, Sudarshan Rao, in a television programme. Here is the LSP’s point by point rebuttal.

Assuming that JP gets elected, what can he accomplish as a single MLA? The LSP says that it will win more seats than the TRS. Moreover, the LSP has invoked its sense of purpose and credibility and said one LSP MLA is equivalent to 100 MLAs from other parties.

Lok Satta is all talk and no action.

The LSP lists its achievements: Right to Information Law, Political Funding Law, Citizen’s Charters in municipalities, Candidate Assets’ Disclosure Law, campaign against criminalisation of politics and empowerment of local government.

What has the LSP president done before and what will he do for the constituency? JP has rehabilitated thousands of families displaced by the Vizag Steel Plant. As Collector of Prakasam district, he brought 1,60,000 acres under irrigation and turned around the AP State Co-operative Bank. His plans for the constituency include consistent supply of safe drinking water and plan to tackle drainage system, housing plan to let slum dwellers live with dignity, access to quality education to every child from 1-12 standard, citizen access to free healthcare and reskilling programme for the unemployed.

JP will be inaccessible to the people in the constituency.

The LSP has reacted by saying that their party president will not be accessible to goondas and land-grabbers but to everyone else.

Where is social justice in Lok Satta? The LSP has asserted that it understands the term better than `all these candidates’. Even if the term is narrowly defined, then for 249 Assembly seats, the LSP has nominated 88 BCs, 42 SCs, 15 STs, 10 minorities, 28 women and one physically challenged candidate.

Cold War Between Chegondi And Allu Aravind

The Praja Rajyam Party seems to have become the venue not just for dramatic situations but also for power struggles. Right now, a battle is said to be on between two big names in the party and that is happening in a hush hush manner. They are Allu Aravind and Chegondi Harirama Jogayya.

Apparently, this one is said to be over the second in command for the party after Chiranjeevi. Chegondi is said to be of the view that given his political exposure and experience, he is the right candidate but then the master movie maker Allu Aravind is said to be thinking otherwise.

While the power game is on, sources from PRP say that Allu Aravind might have an upper hand in this one given his strong tie-ups with Chiru. He may not be having the political exposure but then his levels of confidence and his shrewd way of handling things sure makes him the smarter choice, Allu believes.

But it is said that Chegondi is cracking jokes on Allu Aravind at his close circles while Aravind is making fun of Chegondi in his circles. This mockery may burst in public soon if left like that.

'Seema' villain to campaign for Cong!

Jayaprakash Reddy, who plays a typical Rayalaseema villain in Telugu films, has favoured a Rayalaseema leader to campaign in politics.

On Saturday, Jayaprakash Reddy joined the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, a Rayalaseema strongman and declared that he would campaign for the Congress in the elections.

His role of a typical Rayalaseema factionist in the film “Samarasimha Reddy” has earned him a lot of favour. Incidentally, the hero in that film, N Balakrishna, whose thigh thumping and moustache twirling has become a synonymous with Rayalaseema culture, is now campaigning for the Telugu Desam party. Who knows Balakrishna and Jayaprakash might face each other at some place during the campaign?

Behind The Scene: Why Andhra Jyothy Is Silent?

Andhra Jyothy daily has been keeping silent without throwing cold water on Congress from quite some time. What could be the reason?

When inquired it was revealed that Radha Krishna is worried for Nookarapu Surya Prakasa Rao getting ticket from TDP. As Nookarapu is an enemy to Radha Krishna, he lost interest on TDP and not attacking Congress. It is also said that Radha Kishna is afraid of Nookaparu getting stronger than him in the eyes of TDP if he wins in this election.

On the other hand other sources said that he is afraid looking at present scenario. As Congress has huge potential of winning in elections, Radha Krishna is planning his future. He wants to survive in coming Congress government and hence not taking bigger risks.
