Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy does not want to let go any opportunity to grab political mileage. Even as there is a lot of unrest among the people due to severe power crisis and lack of rains, YSR managed to get all that negative impact neutralized on Thursday by bringing Sonia Gandhi to State.

The inauguration of Krishnapatnam port, laying of foundation stone for thermal power station, launching of Rajiv Arogyasri programme and interaction with Dwcra groups, and above all addressing a public meeting at Nellore on a single day has enhanced the image of YSR.

Added to this, the government released huge advertisements in all the dailies and weeklies, besides TV channels, gave immense publicity to the Chief Minister.

And true to his expectations, Sonia was all praise for YSR for taking the State in the path of development. At every meeting, Sonia described Andhra Pradesh as No. 1 state in terms of development, thanks to the able leadership of YSR. And the Chief Minister was in such a jubilant mood that he spoke ex tempore, moving freely on the dais and patting the officials. At the end of the day, YSR's day was made.
