"Jai Ho" Song for Congress towards election 2009
Congress got the exclusive rights of the film’s number, “Jai Ho” for the summer campaign. According to sources, the party has secured the rights of both the lyrics and the tune of the hit number for use in its campaign for the general election. Sensing interest shown by its rivals in the film’s title song, Congress moved fast to clinch the deal. The Oscar won by music director A R Rahman and lyricist Gulzar for the song gave “Jai Ho” unprecedented popularity. What perhaps made the Congress managers curious about the number was its ability to break the language barrier. “It appeals to everybody irrespective of the region and language group,” remarked a party functionary.
Will congress regain power with this Oscar Song!!!!
